 Schools having separate teacher pages is a fantastic idea. Looking at your teacher and learning a little bit about them before your first day or meeting the teacher could benefit many students and even parents. The teacher's website I looked at was named Mrs. Frank. She's a fourth-grade teacher in the Leon County School District. She had many sections on her website, those included- a welcome page, "Meet the Teacher," student resources, important documents, class assignments, as well as a class calendar. Her page was set up very well and provided much information. Some of the things on her page were restricted access. However, her page was set up the best based on all the websites I previewed.

I envision myself using a lot of technology in my classroom. If used the right way, technology can help students and teachers. I would use technology to create newsletters for my student's parents, write emails, create lesson plans, and more. Technology can help me work efficiently and effectively as a teacher because it can make working quicker, which is an issue for many teachers. When it comes to conserving and using time wisely, teachers will make that happen. I would also use different websites for information on different topics and inspiration for my lessons. 

Some skill I gained from the Web Design Assignment was creating a website in general. Some things I liked about it were learning how to do it if, in the future, I need to create a website for some reason. What I disliked about it was that I just didn't see the point. I see that maybe it's a good skill, and if I was trying to make a website for someone, I would need it, but as an up-and-coming teacher, I don't see myself ever needing to create a website. However, I do have the skills now to do so.

    Hello Emily! I really liked the color scheme of your website! The green on white provides a really good contrast that’s easy for all to see. I also enjoyed how you laid out the pages so that you adhered to proximity rules. Something I would suggest improving the site is by making sections smaller so that pages seem more organized. I also thought the picture on the announcements pages seemed out of place.

    My early experiences with Twitter were mainly focused on how to use the app and what everything does. I have a personal Twitter, but I rarely use it. It's just not something I need in my daily life. For this class, I have only really used it to follow people and get credit for it. I'm not sure how helpful Twitter would be to me in my future career.  Happy Friday! :) My initial experience with Diigo was average. Any time a new tool is introduced, I have a hard time understanding it, but when I can understand the purpose and the basics of using it, it's accessible from there. Diigo specifically has not brought me any trouble, the only "trouble" I've had with Diigo is adding it as an extension, but that's only because I forgot I had to use it via Google Chrome to make it work. Other than that, it's been an excellent platform to use. I enjoy seeing what articles my other classmates have found.  I have really enjoyed using Blogger. I love reading what my classmates say about the different technology in our classroom.
